The Digitus Nano NAS Server connects an USB-Stick to the camera.

The use of the external FTP server has the following advantages:
- external backup of the PICTOMAT files
- simple loading of externally saved projects
- uncomplicated firmware update
- transport of the PICTOMAT files on an USB stick
